We had a week in Weymouth last August and it was packed - not just the town but the whole of the County!

I think going in March is a good idea - no matter the lack of warm weather.

Have been there before when it was warmer....wasn't just the cold....more the drizzle that spoilt the time there - would have loved a walk on the beach but ended up talking music and bands with an old guy in Costa Coffee!

We are going to watch the BSB motorcycling event at Thruxton next month and are staying within walking distance of Stonehenge. I am looking forward to the trip. I don't think we will have time to get to the coast, unless we stay an extra day. :D

I went to Bournemouth when i was about 15, and lived there for about two months, and i really loved that part of England. Next summer i wanted to go back, but my father decided i had to go to Dublin (he was the one who paid so...). I still have some beautiful photographs of Bournemouth, and maybe i go back there, 15 years later.

My Husband has family in the area, he visited Bournemouth many times. I have been a few times and love the New Forest.
