Me and 3P0 are off to Cannes at the end of June! I've never been before but Sophie's Dad lives there and has been loads. Anyone been or got any pics, recommends of what to see and where to go and can anyone lend me 5million euro's for a couple of pints?

I went for a few days a couple of years ago, it was a work thing and everything was organised (with no actual work to be done), so we were driven pretty much everywhere.

A walk on the front is a must. The old town is good, and you can get the train over to Monaco, which is worth a nose round too.

We went to an amazing restaurant in the hills, but haven't got a clue where it was or what it was called. Bobby Gillespie was on the next table.

went there on a day trip last year when I visited Nice. I'd say if you are down that region for a few days take the car or the train down the coast, visit Monte Carlo (loose your bollocks) Antibes, Nice, take a trip out to one of the islands, Ile Sainte Marguerite or one of the others, Its stunning down there it really is, I'm hoping to hop down there again for a few days the begining of October. The one thing I'd say about Cannes is bring plenty of cash its fuckin expensive, from the tourist perspective anyway.. last time there some cunt charged me 9 euros for 3 scoops of ice cream and said I'd have to pay more if i wanted to sit down while eating it. Enjoy though !

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

The Picasso Museum in Antibes is worth a visit.....Antibes is fabulous... catch the weekly market if you can.....the Pierre Cardin 'bubble house' on the hill top above Cannes is also impressive..
I love the South of France...yeah it's expensive..but what the hell..you'll love it....

Monaco is lovely - it's worth a visit just to see the station!

Antibes is brilliant - not as slick as Cannes, but still beautiful and so warm. - the small beach is the best - the water is clear and warm.
We liked Nice too, and Mougins is pretty if you want to escape from the mass tourism- wierd little old town up a bit hill - Picasso used to live there if I remember rightly!.
