Had a jaunt last weekend to North Wales - uncharted territory for Sean and me. Porthmadoc on Saturday - think it may have been closed. :? Then on to Portmeirion for a couple of nights, staying in one of the houses in the village. (On-line special offers abound and the breakfasts were great!)

It was great. The weather was lovely after our recent cold snap, and the sun shone. Just a fabulous time, walking along the shore, in the woods, and even watching an episode of 'The Prisoner' each evening before dinner on Portmeirion TV.

I love Portmeirion, I will suggest we visit again this year. The last time we went it rained all day, we were soaked through and miserable. We had a hot dinner in the cafe and warmed up. We enjoyed ourselves despite the rain.

I haven't been there for years - must have a look around again this year
