Had a day out at Witley Court -

...and stopped off to visit Worcester cathedral on the way back - I never realised that King John was buried in there - bad King John - the one that allegedly didn't like Robin Hood and was linked to the creation of the Magna Carta -

..apart from Worcester sauce and Royal Worcester pottery, I couldn't think of any other reasons for Worcester's existence. Very pretty county though, apart from the diabolical 1970's shops which ruin the city centre and distract from the Edwardian and Georgian buildings near the cathedral.

I've never been into Worcester itself but your pics make it seem worthwhile visiting. Thanks for sharing :D

That bugger in the foreground is actually a fountain head. Probably too cold for it to work when you were there but they occasionally switch it on. It literally fires miles up. The water builds up pressure from a tank, up a hill, three miles away................they knew how to build properly in them days......... :)
