Serious played in our local (excellent) chippie this evening - And seemingly much enjoyed by the kitchen staff.

'Further' played on Michael Ball's BBC R2 show this morning (approx. 11.56am). Michael's comment?: 'Gorgeous!'

Must be someone that was a staffer on Country File now has a similar job on Gone Fishing...cue There's A Storm Comin' when they get out on a boat after a 30lb Turbot...

Wasn't quite sure of where to post this, but here's the story. Rollercoaster records in Kilkenny is one of the friendliest and most welcoming and inspiring places and people you can come across. A couple of years back, Willie Meighan, one of the owners and a hugely important person in the Irish music scene - and a lovely bloke - died of cancer at far too young an age. Last week, the girlfriend of one of the other owners, Davey Holland, the lovely Roisin, passed away from the same disease, even more sadly in her early twenties. She was one of the Rollercoaster family that spreads across Europe through the links with the Kilkenny Roots Festival and was liked and loved by many. At her funeral, Davey sang "Don't get hung up on your soul" for her in the church. Not a dry eye, according to reports - for all there it was a song of remembrance and love. Rest in peace lovely lady.

Last Orders played during BBC4s programme on Picasso tonight, during the section on the rose period.

Instrumental version of Baby You're My Light on the Hockney Imagine programme this week. Very apt as it was a scene where Hockney went back to Yorkshire.
