probably not fashionable to say this but having got the new album i must say so far i think its superb,am not a massive fan only having Hotel California and a Greatest Hits,anyway thought i'd give the new album a listen,not got round to cd 2 yet as being enjoying cd 1.

I think the earlier stuff is comparable to what Gene Clark was doing with Dillard&Clark, along with some of his (G.C's) solo work as well. No one seems to knock GC but The Eagles seem to get a regular kicking. There's not much difference between 'em really. Good songwriters both (ok - The Eagles did get some help from outside the band), one name droppable, the other not. |

I really like the Eagles early stuff, but there's only so much of it that they can do before it does, indeed, become predictable. |

Having just visited your site again i noticed bland is something of a hobby for yer ie Dave and the Dopey Doormice or Doormats , or whatever. Anyway , i`m never going to question your judgement , in this area, again

Ah now, I suspect "Eagles fan doesn't like Dead Comedians" is a headline that Dave wouldn't lose any sleep over (and not just because, from the looks of him, he doesn't sleep). On the other hand I'm sure Don Henley and Glen Frey are at home now with knitted brows in hands fretting that Dave has slagged them off...
