There'll be a download somewhere on the net. Hence some of us have already heard the Tindersticks and Elbow albums - and I hasten to add will be buying them on release.

i think my fav thing about duffy, other than the voice/songs is the drummer, i love to see a drummer giving it some face pulling when playing.

Album is getting mixed reviews, all complimentary but some are slightly negative. I suspect the album will make number 1 though.

And i have to say after listening to the Album a lot over the last couple of weeks i have to say i'm a little underwhelmed.I think Rockferry and Mercy are by far and away the best 2 songs on the album and the rest to me seems a bit of a struggle.
It almost seems like the girl has such a fantastic voice but they didn't quite know what to do with it.
It's a good album but not brilliant like i was hoping

I would say that Stepping Stone, Warwick Avenue and Distant Dreamer are the three strongest tracks. Couple of weak tracks do pull it down a bit - Breaking My Own Heart and Oh Boy would have been preferable - but its a four star album i reckon. Will have no probs getting to number 1 purely on the back of Mercy tbh

Cry For Me didn't make the album either. One reviewer thought the vocals on Distant Dreamer weren't too great, that reviewer liked Rockferry and Warwick Avenue as they felt they were more original, the other tracks they felt were derivative of other sounds.

Could be, I got the Observer and Sunday Times and when I passed those to my neighbour she gave me the Mail to read so it was one of the three.
