Being a big fan of The Innocence Mission, I wanted to share a song from their new album released on 16th October called "Hello I Feel The Same" which follows 2010's "My Room In The Trees". Here's one of the new beautiful songs "Washington Field Trip".

Like the new song and looking forward to hearing the album. Their records are always consistently brilliant.

On a side note.. It's a real shame that they don't tour or even play live at all. An Innocence Mission show would be quite something although I wouldn't hold my breath sadly, maybe some day, I live in hope !

You are right. They are consistently brilliant. Don Perris' guitar work is exquisite and Karen Perris' voice is angelic. Like Richard's music, I discovered them by chance many, many years ago and am sure glad I did. Anyone who likes dreamy, folky style music should check them out. "We Walked In Song" and their last album "My Room In The Trees" are fabulous. Sadly, I think it's doubtful they'll play live.

Yes I think it's very unlikely. I read an interview not too long ago with Don and Karen and when asked the question as to why they never tour they said it was due to having 3 small kids of various ages and just not time to tour but said they missed it and would like to at some point in the future. Also Karen mentioned that her voice couldn't stand up to the rigours of touring and that she would have to work on conditioning it if they were to ever hit the road which I found interesting.

Here's a video of the Innocence Mission playing a show in 2016! It's around 43 minutes long. They're just as exquisite live as on record
