Reet...bit of a plug for a new band that i'm involved in, i've got together with my mate & fellow forummer Tim Lee Cavanagh to start a bit of a band up, it's all original material and we are currently getting a few gigs together. there's a couple of tunes on our 'currently in progress' myspace. (link below)
The song 'Cheyne Stoking' has been played on radio Sheffield's 'Raw Talent' (right before one of Dave Woodcock's tunes so we're in good company!).
Can't really explain the style of music but to me it sounds a bit like Jace Everett who does the 'True Blood' theme, with a bit of the band at the end of 'Dusk Till Dawn' thrown in...our influences are varied, but Tim's heavily into Dylan, The Band, the Beatles etc and i'm really into blues, rockabilly, anything twangy.., and you might get a hint of what we are like.
our first gig is supporting Ellen & The Escapades this Tues 19th Oct at the Boardwalk, Sheffield
please have a listen and see what you reckon.

Got a few new tunes over on our myspace if anyone wants to check em out.
They were recorded from the Plug gig we did last sat, we've recently added a drummer to our line up and he's really beefed up our sound.
Someone said we sounded like a cross between 50's Elvis and the Dusk Till Dawn soundtrack. thats good with me!
We've got a headline gig coming up at the Plug, Sheffield on Fri 9th Sept if anyone fancies popping down. reckon it'll be a fiver to get in.

Here's the link if anyone fancies a laugh.
Before i get lynched, the bet at the end was meant to be taken as a bit of a joke...
