Saw these on Sunday and they were really great, sums them up nicely:

Quote:
Born from a mutual love of 60's pop and rag-time indie, expect sing alongs, hand claps and war-time Romance.

I keep reading about these guys, and I remember the Steve Lamacq show. They are going to be in Crewe on 23th April at The Box. I still have my leg in plaster so don't think I am mobile enough to go. :(

Shame Susie - is it worth contacting the venue to see if they can assist with your current disability, they may manage something for you.

That's true, they have to be 'disabled friendly' these days.

Saw The Crookes in York last tuesday. They are really, really good. Their new album 'Chasing After Ghosts' is well worth buying. On their earlier EP 'Dreams Of Another Day' they do a lovely cover of 'Born Under A Bad Sign'.

From last night's gig, which was really good despite the heat in the room which almost reached the temperature we suffered at the National gig in Brighton last year. Free water and beer kept us going.

I'm not sure if I can cope tomorrow if I go to the gig while I am on crutches. I have not been to the venue before, I will ask my daughter what it is like.

I was surprised to see them on tv the other night

They've changed their sound a bit since I last saw them. Good luck to them... Sounds like they should go a long way
