Thanks Dave, that makes me feel a whole lot better for missing last night's gig

Glad you had such a good night after making the effort to get there though.

I once went along to one of hers shows when The Havenots were supporting. It got a bit alcohol related after their support slot so don't recall too much about her, but I do remember a certain Liam Dullaghan being suitably impressed.....! I think its about time he got that solo album out

I was going to go and see The Havenots supporting her on that tour, but opted to stay in the pub. Seem to remember you saying you'd not been that impressed ("tits and teeth"?) which swayed me towards an evening in the D&P instead. Got a copy of her last album, couple of decent tunes on it but a bit blue eyed for me.

When we played Kilkenny Rhythm and Roots last year, Tift played too. A mate of mine asked me if I'd been to see her...I answered no, but that she had seen us. That's my best name-dropping retort of recent times...she came to the Clubhouse Hotel where we were playing and watched our set, which was cool.

I remember seeing her 5 or 6 years ago at The Borderline when she toured her debut album, she really put it across. One song from that night's always stuck in my head, S'posed To Make You Happy, and this brilliant pared back duet performance should convert anyone:
