 I remember as a teenager going into the record shop listening to it in their "Record Booth" when it was released.

Yes....I was introduced to it by an amazing cranky hippy couple, when I was about 12.The couple were friends of my mothers...and were massive Beatles fans...they had piles of records and every bit of memorabila you could imagin.
We used to go over to their house in the evenings, have some revolting . wholemeal hippy type tea..and then get down to some listening..I absoulutley loved going.
Everthing I need is on that album..I know it by heart.

That's probably my fave Beatles album as well...Lennon was back on form on that record after having taken a backseat on the Magical Mystery Tour thing. Great record, though it marked the beginning of the end for the Fabs....

Available on bbc iplayer for one more day if you missed it :D For some reason the first minute or so of the broadcast is a traffic message about bad weather (I thought the link wasn't working at first!). Stick with it ..
