Anyone else been following this? Every episode has been totally breathtaking. The gruelling conditions the film crews suffer to capture those images are terrifying. Worth the TV licence alone.

I've been keeping an eye on this. I enjoy most programmes about wildlife anyway, but Polar regions & creatures are particularly interesting. David Attenborough's style of presentation can get a bit samey these days, but that's not to detract from his vast knowledge. And in any case, penguins are brilliant.... :*:

Loving Craig's little clip of one one penguin bashing the other! There's a really amusing piece in one of the Frozen Planet episodes where a cheeky penguin deliberately steals another ones stones ... made me laugh out loud.

It has been a really enjoyable series, although I prefer the 'making of' docco's at the end of each episode. The conditions that the film crews have to endure are incredible - makes my wintery camping trips on Kinder Scout look wimpy :*:

On a practical note, it always amazes me that their batteries don't run out in the cold :shaking2:
