"This woman needs to get to a hospital"

"A hospital? What is it"?

"It's a big building with patients, but that's not important right now"...

What a great guy - I'm miss him, another great one gone

Just watched Airplane! again - the way he keeps coming into the cockpit saying "I just want to say good luck, we're all counting on you" even after the plane has landed, sheer hilarity and absolute comic genius. As they noted in his obituary on the news earlier, part of his magic was saying the most hilarious things in the most serious, straight-faced way imaginable (specially in that movie), and with absolutely impeccable timing. Thought he was great in The Poseidon Adventure too, it's easy to forget for my generation (the naked gun generation) that he was a brilliant serious actor (as opposed to comically serious) in his younger days too.

Sad to hear this news. Loved Airplane etc, made me & my family howl with laughter, particularly my Dad. ..> Wasn't he in The Forbidden Planet, too?

im so sad about this- he's one of my heroes and someone i always looked up to and loved since i was a kid- they just showed flying high (airplane) and naked gun on tv tonight in aus- had a great time-

in memory here's i think a very poignant take on love from spy hard

"Love is a dewdrop on a rose petal. Love is a drop of rain pure and shimmering and trembling. So moist, so wet. And those tiny little drops of love come together, gathering up grown buds, and fallen flowers, and dirt, and dung, and deer droppings, flowing faster and faster, outward to the sea, onward and onward and onward"
