fascinating life, from poverty and loneliness we can't even imagine, to being the highest paid star in england.

obviously not everyone liked his humour, and it's from a different age and world to the one we live in now, but he made a lot of people happy.

r.i.p. norman wisdom : comedy god.

Me and me Dad used to sit and watch his films together, now I have them on DVD,great memories for me.
Just to say Norman Wisdom makes me smile. :)

Yes, he was from another era .. one where the humour was not 'smart' or 'trendy' and didn't involve putting anyone else down - it was usually Norman who was the fall guy. Really influential too. I loved him. RIP Norman - thanks for all the laughs. :D

I echo that mate, the fim I love is where he played Hitler and his double... there was a documentary last year about his search for a suitable care home, he was still making people laugh and used to play the piano and sing for the other residents... bless. I love the fact that he was an icon in Albania of all places!
