fascinating life, from poverty and loneliness we can't even imagine, to being the highest paid star in england.

obviously not everyone liked his humour, and it's from a different age and world to the one we live in now, but he made a lot of people happy.

Me and me Dad used to sit and watch his films together, now I have them on DVD,great memories for me.
Just to say Norman Wisdom makes me smile.

Yes, he was from another era .. one where the humour was not 'smart' or 'trendy' and didn't involve putting anyone else down - it was usually Norman who was the fall guy. Really influential too. I loved him. RIP Norman - thanks for all the laughs.

I echo that mate, the fim I love is where he played Hitler and his double... there was a documentary last year about his search for a suitable care home, he was still making people laugh and used to play the piano and sing for the other residents... bless. I love the fact that he was an icon in Albania of all places!
