Described by BBC as "Darkly comic drama series about life on an NHS geriatric ward", it's co-written by, and starring, Jo Brand as one of the three leads. It features "Roll River Roll" as the title music.

Not sure about Jo Brand usually, but I've watched the first two. Anyone watched? What do you think?

I love Jo Brand, have been watching her for years. Enjoy seeing her occasional appearance on the repeats of QI on Dave at the moment. :D

Must admit although I meant to watch this haven't quite got my act together but if I remember I'll make the effort!

Its brilliant, I saw the first series and the second one started last week.. Jo Brand is excellent as the nurse who can't give a toss about the new PC world she has to work in...all the cast are very good (they all wrote it too and peter capaldi directed) my ears pricked when I heard 'roll river' on the opening credits...excellent choice , if I might say so! I remember seeing Jo Brand at the Red Rose Comedy Club in Islington about 20 years ago, funny then and even funnier now, I absolutely love her ! :*:

I absolutely love the programme (especially as I used to work in a hospital) but when I first read the title of this thread I thought it was about how to get exposure on BBC4. Doh!

Ricky Grover is great as Hillary, I haven't seen all of series 3 yet so can't work out if he's meant to be gay or not....[/quote]
