So Rossetti single-handedly produced the Oxford Union Murals! Morris would appear to be a bit of a buffoon.

I loved tonight's episode. William Morris and Edward Borne-Jones were portrayed as silly fools. Give Peter Bowker an award! It's so brilliant. Love the paintings.

I appreciate the programme is faction but to make out Lizzie lied about being pregnant (she had a stillborn daughter around the time Morris' and Burne-Jones both had their first children) seems odd.

Then then went on to show Rossetti and Morris dealing with the exhumation of Lizzie's grave rushed into the last few minutes of the programme. The exhumation took place around 7 years after she died, at night, and Rossetti was not present.

I kind of hoped they were going to leave that and lead on to a second series to do the full Jane Morris affair.

Just one page from a massive site from Birmingham Museum of their Pre-Raphaelite collection.

Click on the image, keep clicking to enlarge and just marvel at the detail.

Google have launched sites to visit various Art Galleries of the world - here's the Tate and there is a room full of Pre-Raphaelites (not sure if this is what is currently on show in the gallery).

It works like Street Scene - just navigated to Richard Dadd's Faery Feller's Masterstroke - find the plus sign alongside the picture and click on that to be taken to a high definition version of the painting. That particular one is well worth a look as there is so much in it.
