No, not connected to mph's "funniest thing ever" thread (men! ), but the new ad from the famous brand of bread!

Saw it this evening and I had tears in my eyes after.
The sights of the young lad marching off to war and the miners striking caused me to well up.

Good, innit? It was filmed at various locations in and around Liverpool city centre.

The Great War 'off to the battlefields' scene was shot in Falkner Street, at the back of the Philharmonic Hall where Mr H performed last autumn.

Other locations included the terraced streets of Garston leading down to the Mersey where TV's Bread was filmed.

A sad indictment of the quality of todays television when the adverts are better than the actual programmes. This ad is so clever, you see something new on each viewing.

Location: Perfect weather to fly ...
Makes me want to make a doorstep of a cheese sandwich ... or toast and marmite :D :D ... marmite is the best on freshly cut bread (sliced isn't so good).
