 :? Andy, this is a thread dedicated to The Owls ... I think footie gets picked up in other threads and you can always start your own .... but if I had the power of veto then I'd delete anything that was Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool or Spurs

In my opinion, it was only ever okay to talk about Arsenal when you still had Henry; Chelsea if it was only about Murinho; Man U if they got beat by City or Pompey. It is always okay to talk about Sunderland (just for Hissyt) and Pompey (especially Mendes, Krancjar and Harry's wheeling-and-dealing). :*: :*:

Leeds! If Leeds were a soap opera then it would be an outrageous south american melodramatic meltdown. Coincidentally just stuck a copy of Dave Peace's 'The Damned United' in the post.

As a Pompey fan basking in outrageously uncharacteristic glory atm I am keeping a close eye on the Owls in the last few weeks of the season and REALLY hope they stay up (and send Southampton down!)

Know only too well the stress and frustration of keeping with a once great club as they slide towards oblivion but if it's in your blood then you have no choice but to keep the faith. Pompey are enjoying times like I can't believe and have never seen in my 35 years as a fan but we'll take it while it lasts (knowing full well it won't!). Relegation battles are a nightmare but Harry could give you a few tips on how to survive one! Good luck :)

If wednesday stay up ... and Southampton go down, I shall hug you all :*: :*: ... please let it happen, please :*:

... I realise that some of you might deem 'hug' a threat, so I promise to make it a cyberhug, no actual physical contact required

What a fantastic result today :D I love they way that hours and hours of footie are played each season for it to go right down to the wire at the very end. As a Pompey fan I am well versed in relegation battles - it's not good for the heart. Good luck to West Brom on Monday night!

Well done Sheff Weds on staying up :D Followed all the action yesterday - very tense and glad not to be onvolved. As a Pompey fan I know all too well how it feels to go to the wire with a relegation battle. One of the few matches when you were praying for the Blades to win eh? :*: Shame they didn't beat Southampton...
