i'm chuffed that wednesday stayed up. when you look at the teams that could've gone down (wed, leicester, soton) they're big name clubs that a few seasons ago were in the top flight. there's something gone badly wrong in football and the leeds fiasco the perfect example.
it's far too money orientated. the wages are obscene and it's certainly no longer a working class man's game. how peter risdale could have been allowed to stay in football, never mind become chairman of another club, is beyond belief. i'll be willing pompey to stuff the bastards at wembley. i like harry anyway.
the fa haven't got the guts to make some significant changes that would change the game for the better in the long run. video technology and video referees, a cap on foreign players and a salary cap to level the playing field in the premiership. we used to laugh at the scots with the boredom of celtic-rangers, year after year, but it's just as bad now with chelsea, man u, arsenal and liverpool. the odd one out of these four get to a carling or fa final as the big four can't be arsed putting full strength teams out in these competitions any more.
cricket, rugby union and league have all taken on some if not all of the above and have prospered. fine the overpaid prima donnas for backchat and pretending to be shot when a slight breeze has blown them over.it's bad sportsmanship and just plain cheating. yes, nani, i'm talking to you. speaking as a man, i would be ashamed to behave like that.
still, come on you whites against carlise, marching on together!
