Lingonberries - extensively used in Swedish cuisine (or so IKEA would have us believe) - taste like a cross between redcurrants and cranberries and served with IKEA meatballs ... another good reason to shop at IKEA

Clever fix though, Tesco don't feature so they must be getting something wrong as they are such a large company one would expect people to vote in droves for them !!!!

My other half bought a table and chairs and a settee from there - they're all like sitting on concrete. :(

I thought ikea was meant to be all about good design. Have just spent about 40 mins trying to put together a 'Lekman' box, which is 4 plastic sides and a base that supposedly clip together to form a square box. How difficult can it be if you are a designer to design an easy way to clip 4 sides together?

My technique for fitting the other ones together has been 1. Look at instructions. 2. Try to follow instructions and pronounce them shite. 3. Align the sides and jiggle them a bit. 4. Give up hope. 5. Gaze in wonder as the side clicks in, even though i have done nothing different to what i've been doing for the last 10 minutes. 5. Start optimistically on another side.

Anyone had experience with these boxes before? The annoying thing is, they fit inside the squares of my bookcase to keep everything neat, but i only bought 4, as i worked out it would cost me over £100 to do the whole bookcase (16 squares), but i can't face putting any more together. Actually, now i think about it, the boxes would cost more than the bookcase. How crazy is that?

My daughter got her head stuck through the back of a children's chair from Ikea when she was about 4 years old. I distracted her by reading a story, she stayed calm luckily until her dad came home and got a saw  to cut the bar on the chair. I think about it now and laugh as it must have been comical to see. It wasn't funny at the time.

We used to go to IKEA,its a nightmare on a Sunday, parkings a nightmare ,then you queue to get in,then proceed to shuffle round for hours,if you want a large item you have to find it yourselves on the racks, then join the checkout queue,no thanks not going there ever again on a weekend,on a bank holiday they even queue to get off the m62 just to get into the estate, the worlds gone mad, especially on a Sunday, bring back the days when nothing was open. :?

Best thing about Ikea are the hot dogs on the way out.
