I have the same feeling about foxes, they fucking frighten me, especially walking up the hill after a night out, they don't call them cunning for nothing.

A couple of weeks ago my mum heard a real racket in her garden. A hedgehog was attacking a baby blackbird and it basically mauled it to death for no apparent reason. When my mum tried to get it off the bird it turned on her. I'm not so fond of the little things now.

I can guess a reason the hedgehog behaved like that:
Although belonging to insectivore family, hedgehogs are almost omnivorous. Hedgehogs feed on insects, snails, frogs and toads, snakes, bird eggs, carrion, mushrooms, grass roots, berries, melons, and watermelons. (information from wikipedia)

:*:
my ex's dad was from Louisiana and he was into roadkill stew, even when they lived in Surrey (aka the Not-So-Deep South), when he would pick up his daughter and her mates from school she would dread it if there was a flat hedgehog or squirrel or something laid out in the back of the car, as the inquiry from her friend about what it was there for would get the reply, 'i'm going to make a banjo and some dinner!'...that story always made me happy, to stick to the thread...

I once saw a fox in broad daylight, not two minutes from East Croydon station. Mind you, a friend once saw a man walking a ferret on a lead down Oxford Street.

I saw a guy in trafalgar square with a falcon on his arm-he was walking around like it was the average pet.

And yes Minerva I can believe they pay people to kill 'em-they had a cull in said graveyard last year-my sister said it was a delight trying to explain the gunshots to my young nieces

Hairy, have you read that in since because of three cases of human rabies in china, they're killing 50.000 dogs. And if you hide your dog and they catch you, as a punishment they're making you watch them kill it.

I can't wait for him to tour Netherlands again. Isn't he touring Britain right now? Thought he did in these three months.
