A motto from the Tom Waits school of thought, good stuff!

life is peachy when you find something really obscure on limewire that you've been after for yonks. i got 'hula kula' an old roxy music b side last night. class. i am officially, a happy bunny.

I got that on the Thrill of It All box set along with the other 7" vinyl only stuff: Your Applications Failed, Sultanesque, South Downs, Trash 2, Always Unknowing, Pride and the Pain and Numberer. If I remember correctly the version of Angel Eyes on that compilation is the 12" single rather than the album - might have to check that out tonight.

i was actually going to buy that just to get hula kula! 'sultanesque' isn't bad either. i love it when bands put a brand new track on the b side of a single. it doesn't make sense to me when an artist slaps an album track or a live version (unless it's radically different) on the b side. if it's a new track, i'll buy the single, if not, they can shove it up their arse.

Agreed, Richard has the courtesy to re-work his singles so they are different to the album tracks and add a new b-side which is brilliant, and most bands add new b-sides to single releases, but some just offer re-mixes of the original track - sometimes that's good (I loved the re-mixes of Seal's Love Divine for instance as they were fast as opposed to the original slow version) but sometimes there's barely any difference.

I can highly recommend the injection you can get to make you calm during wisdom tooth extraction. It s a bit like that episode of Father Ted where Father Jack drinks the toilet cleaner. Psychadelic for a bit then you cant remember a thing that has happened. Good stuff!! :colors:
