Gloves are really coming off now, the right desperately scrambling around, trying to find anything to stop him being elected. Votes of no confidence planned, figures about how Labour would lose elections, accusing him of being an anti-Semite, even a story that he liked to eat cold beans while at home with his cat! It's pathetic!

I think think what happens next is hugely exciting – who knew that so soon after the Tories getting in, there'd be all this? I know eight people, just in my little section at work, who've told me they've joined/rejoined Labour because of Corbyn. Think the poor Labour voters, who've suffered these revolting, middle class no marks for years, are suddenly saying, fuck it, let's have someone we want. x

Well, I voted. But can't bring myself to have a second preference. x

That picture with "mo imposter ansar" is pretty embarrassing though.
I find he whole "softy softy-we need their vote" approach of labour towards Islam an insult towards the founding fathers and the people of socialism, and "laicity" as we say over here. And that fuels the hatred and votes on the other side.
Atheist all the way. It s 2015 for dog s sake.

Voting closes at 12, winner announced on Saturday. If he wins, I will become a full member and attend my local meeting, and choose a seat in between the local councillors we picketed over cuts to my son's music school. It'll be fun...x

Had to request my ballot three times and it just turned up late on Tuesday. Had a devil trying to work out a deputy and London mayor vote. Feel engaged with L.abour fir the first time since I was married - John Smith died five days later. There was the false hope of blessed relief in 1997 but we know all about that fucker Blair

Astonishing vote- thought it would go to second preference. New Labour is over :Hoorah
Hopefully the optimism of today will continue and Corbyn will have good people to help him.
Jamie Reed resignation during JCs speech was crass

Great work, y'all! Been following all of this and really hoping it would turn out. :-) Excellent news. Now if we can do the same with Bernie Sanders over here, that would be fantastic! Wish us luck !

You lot could defo do with a Bernie Saunders!

And I have rejoined the Labour Party as a full member this morning. If you'd have told me that a year ago, I'd have said you were stark raving bonkers! Thought JC's acceptance speech was great, nice to see the Tory-lite no marks resigning and Billy Bragg, singing the Red Flag (badly) on the TV (after all, he does top my have-to-have-a-go-if-you-fell-over-him-in-the-street-even-if-you-were-with-your-mother list).

I have a bad head through drinking gin into the early hours and am trying to guard against being too over-enthusiastic but it is cause for optimism. xxx
