Aggghhhhhhhhhhhhh! Their old Etonian smugness, their hideous women, the Goves, the Boris', the chinless, bigoted, little Englander bastards!

Today's little gem is to remove benefits from the under-25s. Not under 18s, or under 21s. But under 25s, all of whom are feckless and irresponsible and aspiring to a life of worklessness. Cos living on the dole is sooooo attractive. Let's punish them all for being young.

Fucking, fucking fuckers. x

I had to turn the radio off and avoid the news for the rest of the day yesterday. I felt sick with rage. Education...til your 25...eh, how much  Training.......til you're 25...for what? Work before you are 25.....yes please, that would be fantastic and what I wnat to do...oh, wait, no fucking jobs and, yes, you guessed it, the jobs that might exist render all that education and training meaningless...How many out of that million he quoted actually want to live a life on the dole? Don't be so fucking stupid. Nasty, nasty nasty conceited bigoted shit of a man. And of course their answer to everything is "make them worrk" for their "benefit". How about paying at the very least a minimum wage and calling it........er..yes, work or a "job". I saw him on the telly this morning and went all Trini Lopez...."If I had a hammer...."

Me too, I can't bear it. And you are right, they are nasty, have a nasty, anti-human view of the world. Everybody's on the make, on the fiddle, is lazy, is useless. Earn or learn? Most of them do neither.

I look around at the world my boys are set to inherit and I could weep. A studio flat in the area in which they were born costs £200k. There is no such thing as a council flat. Private renting? £900 a month for a one bed flat. And jobs? The borough we live in has some of the country's highest levels of unemployment, kids achieve well at school but for what? To join the graduate unemployed or take a zero hour contract at a retail park. What hope do they have? And when they struggle and despair, they're demonized, called lazy, workshy, not worthy of benefits or the support of society.

People tell me society has progressed over my lifetime but I honestly can't see it. I too am full of rage about it all and so should we all be.

And to be told all this stuff by freakish, chinless mutants, who look like they've been made in a laboratory, the strange offshoots of some scientific experiment gone wrong, guffawing and lecturing us about values and belt tightening. I just hate them. x

See me, I'm all over the place. Yesterday, when I wrote the post, I sort of depressed myself!! But then I watched Question Time last night, which I usually don't bother with because you couldn't get a fag paper between the dross that normally appears on there. And then the guy from the Huffington Post was on there, and wiped the floor with the lot of the careerist, double speaking, sneering wankers. And more than that, the audience was wild for him, couldn't get enough of his passionate, articulate answers to these bastards. And suddenly, I was cheered up, maybe we're not doomed, maybe people are finally having enough and ready to do something about it.

Part of his performance is on their website:

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2013/10 ... 39900.html

But if you didn't see it, it's worth looking at Question Time again on the BBC, just for the responses that people gave the tosser from the Daily Mail and the reception Medhi Hasan got for standing up to him.

And so, fickle bitch that I am, today I'm more optimistic. And H, I too love humanity. I think, when push comes to shove, people do the right thing because people are essentially good. That's something I always say to my boys, regardless of what people do to you, always do what you think is right. Be happy with your values and challenge others to raise theirs.

Might be time for me to dig out my dungarees and get stuck in! xxxxx

Questions to all..........just to breed some life into a very quiet forum!

Are you happy with the alternatives?

Are you happy to vote for the alternatives truly believing in what they say and stand for?

100%?

Are you happy to vote for the alternatives just to get these 'fuckers' out?

Aren't they all as bad as each other in one way or another?

Can any of them be trusted to deliver what they promise?

Haven't and aren't all the conferences just a sales pitch?

You can put 2 + 2 together if you like but you'll be wrong! I just like throwing the odd hand grenade in
now and again! Think I did it on here before with dogs.......shit machines!

Got it from the master.......My dad.....GRHS.

Enjoy! :P

I thought the best point made on the programme last night was about the fictitious notion of the middle ground. All the politicians are striving to please the middle ground but does the middle ground really exist?

People may say that, as a socialist, I am a dinosaur from another time, an age of idealism that doesn't exist anymore. But I thought the really interesting thing about the debate last night was Medhi Hasan's point about social attitudes. Apart from on the issue of immigration, where people are generally quite bigoted and to the right of most of the mainstream parties, on most other issues people are way to the left of the mainstream political parties. When asked, people support the NHS and don't want it privatised; they agree with renationalisation of the railways and energy companies; they don't agree with privatising Royal Mail; the proportion of people who believe benefit cuts would damage too many people's lives is on the up; more and more people disagree with the statement that the unemployed could get a job if they really want one; more people say they are interested in politics than at any time in the last 30 years; only 18 per cent of the population believe that the government regularly places the country's needs over their own party's; only two out of ten people say they trust the banks.

These are the facts. I am not happy with the alternative to the Tories because Labour don't go far enough. If they fell in step with what most people believe, the Daily Mail and it's revolting readership would go in to apoplexy! What I want is for Labour to listen to what people really want – they might find it's not so much different from what it's traditional heartland wants, what most of the members who have left in droves want, what those people who just don't vote at all really want.

I am not happy with the alternative but I am happy to campaign for the alternative to listen to the British people and turn the tide for my kids and their generation. x

I seriously can't watch that sh*te.

Changes are being made to exam regulations and education by the hour - not thought through and changed on a whim, when someone says.."er...but...". At the moment, I feel as though I have no idea how to do my job as the goalposts are constantly shifting and the poor kids caught in the middle of this are just social guinea pigs. Bad times. Kick the F*ckers out.

I know a lot of people who gave the Liberals their vote last time because of they were anti-war and anti-tuition fees. But as they had sold out even before the ink had dried on their coalition pact with the devil, I think they will be finished at the next election.

I haven't voted Labour for the last couple of elections, giving my vote to fringe leftie parties. I just could not bring myself to vote for the Blairs and the Browns of this world – don't want my leaders trying to out Tory the Tories, I just was not brought up that way. But think I may go back to the fold this time, unless a more viable alternative emerges from the protests we are seeing. Think the reception that someone like Medhi Hasan got on QT shows that people want radical, they want an alternative that shouts its difference. Maybe something with happen either inside or outside Labour, here's hoping.

I have enjoyed this conversation – it's sort of a substitute for sitting in the pub, putting the world to rights. Don't do much of that these days, more's the pity, so it's been a breath of fresh air. And Nick, I have nothing but respect for the teachers for doing what you do and standing up for what you believe in. Have just finished a letter to the heads of my sons' schools, supporting the action they will be taking in London on the 17. More power to your elbow, son. xx
