Is it just me? Is there something I can do?

Nearly every time I log on here I automatically get logged out and the function I find most useful for finding out what folk have been saying, what's new etc. "view posts since you last logged on" is lost to me.

Don't log in the normal way - before logging in, go into a post and act as if you are going to reply, log in using the screen that then gives you, then just click on the index header to go back to the main forum.

At work my PC never logs me out but at home once logged in I usually only find I have to re-log in after maybe 12 hours.

No, i get it when i log on from work. Clearing cookies sometimes fixes it. The forum software might get updated one day too which could help...

Only fix i know that works is when you first login, spell your name wrong on purpose. When you get to the screen saying your account isn't recognised then login as normal and all the new post markers should still be intact.

I use 'search'; it won't let you do that without logging in so takes you to that screen...

Usually I just get the index page, click to view a post, click as if to reply to it & I'm automatically logged on.

So the general agreement is never use the boxes at the bottom of the screen to log in, using those does seem to need users to log in twice.

No, it depends where you're logging in from. Some places they work fine.

I reserve my right to pick and choose which bit of the forum i use to login. Though i did hear once that logging in from those boxes can cause cooties. You go where you go at your own risk.

What's a cootie? Is it like a winnet?

And why can't I load up pictures anymore?

Like an oral winnet. Sort of.
A cootie is a slaver in a pop bottle, a gob in a coffee cup, or similar. :pl: :pl: :joker:

Anyone else with IE9 finding they no longer have to log in?
