Am I dreaming or did I just see an item on the BBC's 10 o'clock news which illustrated the economic standing of various european countries with clips of this year's eurovision entries??? I've just seen a clip of Jedward as a backdrop to news on Ireland's economy and Blue while they showed the UK's.

I despair, I really do. Do they think we're not capable of being interested in these things on their own merits? When did reporting the news like this become OK???? :eh?
