As a long serving collector of Morrissey 7" singles I'm a bit miffed about the latest 'wheeze'.
It's a reissue of 'Everyday is like Sunday' to promote the reissue of Bona Drag. A new sleeve with a different b-side, but there is also a second 7" single without a picture sleeve and a different b-side. Dear God! I know that the simplest answer is to "Say No" but they know they are appealing to my unreliable instincts. Why not issue something else, after all the album was a compilation of stuff?
Yes, I've fallen in the trap and made the purchase, but I feel a wee bit grubby about it, which it never has been before.
Oh well, I'll go and lie down with a copy of this months Record Collector. I'll be all right in a while........
