Summer, not much happening on the Hawley front, it always goes quiet when it's like this.

That maybe true to a degree but these days we are also missing some of the "old stalwarts" and "favourites" from the Forum. :(

Let's hope the up and coming concerts in the next two months improve things.

Call it flounce, call it what you want but I've had enough. It's not the same, there's some kind of fear of not being able to say what you want. I've been here since the beginning and if you read my 10000th post thread you'll know the board has been a massive part of my life. I've poured my fucking soul out on here and made some very good friends. I'm going the way of my mate Dave Woodcock....totally fucked off with the place. It's been a blast while it was fun, but I've had enough. Tara everyone!!

I saw an elsebound train, on the overpass
In the driving rain, every ticket costs the same
For where you can't go
Mustang horses, champagne glasses
Anything frail anything wild
It's the price of living motion, what's beautiful is broken
And grace is just the measure of a fall.

I think you'll find flounce is the correct name, as is your new name Sir Flouncealot III of Flounceville, Flounceton (nee Flounce).

Sorry to hear that Dave, even though I've been registered here a while I dont post much, have never made an effort to befriend anyone etc. However, I do enjoy reading your posts (and others) and think you are one of the forum 'characters' which makes this place. If you do choose to fuck off for good then it will be a loss to the forum.

You might not even read this but.......................

I guess it depends what you want/expect from a forum, for me its a place to chat guitar shit, find out about new music, read the odd joke and of course find out all the Hawley news. Maybe lowering your expectations might make you feel different, as Richard grows in popularity the forum will change from the early days and wont feel the same.

As for the not saying what you want bit, I've never really felt that on here particularly with a good chunk of folk being plain speaking yorkshireman!

Good luck whatever you decide. :D

Oh, don't go flouncing off Dave! You're funny and I'd miss reading your stuff. And I know there's not much going on at the moment but I think it's a summer thang. Light nights are here and people are out to play.

I like this forum because some days I need a bit of light relief. Do a job where I spend my day talking about job cuts, redundancies, sickness leave or mundane shite like parking permits and dog shit on pavements. And then I can just flick onto here to read about someone opening a wine bottle with their shoe. Quick smile, back to shite.

Hope you cheer up. x

anyway here is the funniest advert of all time to cheer you all up

Ditto all of the above.
I know I'm a newcomer but some of the things i've read on here have really cheered me up on crap days, I knew the forum was in existance and read peoples posts but didn't register until recently, the only reason I did was because you all seemed such a great bunch, people who i'd like to know and hear more from.
