Fr Ted & Steptoe are the finest comedy series made, full stop. |

Father Ted, Black Books, Steptoe, Black Adder and Frasier (and Cheers I suppose). Father Ted is just the best though, consistent throughout. Black Adder 2 is the funniest, 4 the second although with the most astounding non-comic ending. |

The Likely Lads, Steptoe & Son, Dad's Army They don't make them like that any more, sadly. And I'm afraid I quite liked On The Buses too Even the films...... The whole family going to Butlins on the motorbike & sidecar - priceless And not forgetting Open All Hours |

I'm the same, I love all those - except The Likely Lads, I didn't find that one as funny. There used to be one about two male doctors as well that was quite good but I can't remember the name It Ain't Half Hot Mum was superb as well, love Windsor Davies |

Discussing this very subject in the pub last night - basically because there was a bloke in there that was the spitting image of George from George & Mildred. One of my favourite US shows was Married... With Children (Kelly Bundy ) |

My question would be , many of the best comedy shows imo are from the 60's , 70 's and 80's , of the recent stuff, say in the last 10 years i can think of only 2 that i like , Early Doors and Phoenix Nights , how many of todays stuff will still be shown in the years to come ?. |
