If Ron Jeremy and John Holmes had been MP's would it of been a 'well hung' parliment.

There'll have to be another election within 6 months - if Labour kick Gordon off the nest and stick David Milliband in as has been suggested they might have a chance at the end of the year. Not that personalities should come into it, but they do. Personally i find Milliband repulsive in a reptilian sort of way, but i'll try to get over it.

Right sentiment, wrong Miliband. It should be Ed, not David.

Neither of them could hold a light to their dad though, he was a proper socialist.

It's being rumoured that Clegg has made a condition that the Libs would only talk to Labour if Gordon stood down!

Yes, it is. Showing their true colours, the Lib Dems. Might talk a good radical talk, but when it comes down to it, aren't they Tories in disguise?
Personally, I think if they get in bed with the Tories and carry through the cuts they're talking about, they'll be unelectable for a generation.
I think it will be Miliband and Cruddas or Johnson and Balls – whichever gang of no marks it is maybe they'll find a principle between them and offer some real alternative to what we have now, politics where, as my dad would say, you can't fit a fag paper between them.x

Whoever it is, I can't really see them being any different... after all, these guys ARE the party now... they've still got the same policies, we'll still be part of the human rights act and they'll still try and impose their holier than thou views on all of us - the nanny state will just trundle on. The fact is people voted for Labour because they didn't feel there was any alternative, now we could be looking at an even worse scenario - another lib-lab pact. Mandelson must be laughing his head off while pulling the strings !!

Brown is on his way to the Palace to resign, Cameron is waiting in the wings to occupy No. 10.

Just heard Gordon Brown's speech i thought it was honest and heartfelt meself.I personally am happy that labour didn't go into a coalition government with the traitor Liberals. They dropped the ball straight away didn't they??????????.........They will be waiting in that que for a"spine doner"for another century.........It means that Labour politics, however flawed, can remain in tact or can be built upon(hopefully with at least a glimmer of basic socialism)to form a good solid opposition party instead of having to compromise, the smart arse Liberals will find out they will have to compromise EVERYTHING to those evil fuckers the tories,hence.........another general election in......here i will stick my neck out.........18 months i will give it.
I wonder how all those folks who tactically voted liberal to keep the tories out feel now?

Ever get the feelin' you've been cheated???????

Clegg........you treacherous bastard.I cannot believe you have an ounce of Sheffield in you or in fact an ounce of decency, you gave it ALL away at the first hurdle.............what a wanker.there isn't a leader amongst them, imagine Clegg and Cameron in the whitehouse or in Palestine??????

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.......he laughed darkly

i just popped in to express my great sadness at the turn of events.

quite so richard, it's a dishonest deal whoever took it on. at least labour clearly said f*ck off to the yellow bellies.
and indeed, brown's speech was the thing we could have done with a little more of recently.

what a legacy he leaves, more jobs, better nhs and schools, tax credits etc, etc. i think he really did the best you could hope for.

we'll probably not see a boost like that to our public services for a generation. let's hope the left comes back stronger.

i agree there fella,i know my post is angry and ranting but it never ceases to amaze me how shitty politics is,i also agree with you re Brown's speech, just saw him talking to the labour party and his staff he sounded like a proper leader and yes he could have displayed that a bit better but fuck it,its done now.............a Doctor and a consultant surgeon i happen to know told me in the pub the other week........."Richard,if the tories get in...........DON'T GET ILL" :?

It's a dark, dark day and the Liberals have sold their souls to the devil for a whiff of power. Fucking wank. They should have shown some bottle and told the Tories and Labour to fuck off and then the slimy blue bastards wouldn't have been able to get anything passed.

Clegg will be cumming and shitting in his pants at the same time, a little sniff of power methinks. Hopefully several Lib Dems will be resigning soon or will they just sit back and enjoy the ride on Camerons back?
