I have torn a muscle in my calf, playing rounders with my kids, been laid up for what seems forever but is actually about 10 days and it's black, blue purple and yellow, lovely sight.
I can honestly say, and I've given birth three times, I have never known pain like it and can fully understand why footballers roll around in agony.
been told will take between 4-8 weeks to heal, need to stay off work (hence increase in posts here!)

Oh, Marie. Give her a hug from me! Soooo hard being a teenager. As a kid, I was podgy, freckly, awkward – generally at the back of the queue at any boyfriend-giving-out doo. But it all worked out in the end and I think all the rejection made me a better judge of what was worthwhile. She has a good mum to see her through. x

My daughter is 30 and I am having to watch her deal with PTSD. Flash backs the lot. It's awful. I am trying to be strong for her but it's tearing me apart.

My brother-in-law said something I thing is so true, you are only as happy as your unhappiest child. So true.

Sorry to hear your daughter is going through the awfulness of PTSD Jane - sounds like you are doing all you can do just by being there for her and yes, your brother-in-law is right there - it's hard being a mum sometimes! x

PS: on a lighter note - I love your avatar x

Thanks. My dear brother-in-law put the word hope on the washing for me. I couldn't have done it. I am rather proud of it. And now I have got him using the phrase as well.

That's really sad. You just want to bear the pain for your kids. Love to you both xx
