My kids are at their nannies this week so me and blokey went out for a meal with some mates. Had a heady combination of beer, red wine, Baileys and squid. Feeling proper rank this morning – stuck my tongue out in front of the mirror and it's still that rotten black colour that it goes when you drink too much wine. Either that or I've died in the night and this morning is the first day of the rest of my life in a kind of fishy-puke hell. Might try Ginger Ale and alka seltzer in the same glass. Feeling sorry for myself... x

God I hate that red wine tongue! And what's worse is red wine poo later in the day! :shaking:

I've just taken the plunge and given up alcohol after one to many nights being a complete twat.

I went down to the Kelham Island beer festival the other week, on my return home after 6 hours in the tent I fancied a drink. Supplies were slow so I invented a cocktail - "Rhubarb and Custard" it's a simple recipe.

Advocaat
Ouzo
Rose Wine
Baileys

All layered up nice. It tasted great at the time.

I still felt it on Tuesday, a 3 day hangover is my record.

Is this a cunning rouse to bypass the digestive process and just turn your tipple into a glass of sick? Quite apart from that, it contains Ouzo, which comes under the umbrella of evil aniseed spirits, which have been responsible for some of the most regrettable episodes of my adult life. You invention is just plain wrong. x

I can't drink anything like the amount I could 30 years ago without feeling really ill. For example, I went for a meal with the family last week and got stuck into three pints of Peroni. The following morning I felt so ill I wished I had not bothered.

I struggle to down two pints of cider now - in the past it used to be several and then go to the pub.

One bottle of red wine is more than enough now - years ago it used to be one of them box thingy's and then go out on the town. :(
