Oasis... hmm

I have a love hate relationship with that band, when they first came out in '93 I thought they were great, still rate Definitely maybe, but I am of the belief that they tossed their talent away.. I mean Morning Glory was average and everything else since has been a distinct letdown, apart from a couple of obscure b-sides. Got to meet em once at work, and they did seem all like very nice folks though !

I've been a dissident and voted Scissor Sisters, because the Darkness were at least a tiny bit entertaining at first.
My brother actually likes them, and even he thinks the Glasto thing was pretty low of them.

As for Oasis, y'know it's weird. I didn't really grasp all the fuss about Definitely Maybe at the time, and I actually preferred the second one because it was a bit more two-dimensional. I then got tired of them about a year before everyone else did and was therefore spared the waste of buying Be Here Now, although my Mum bought it. I gave her most of my Oasis singles too. Between you and me, I think The Great Escape has aged better.
'Songbird' was quite likeable though. [/i]

Its not that I have this "I hate Oasis" thing, but I truly believe that they were so overestimated as the super british band, when they are thousands groups far better, I was never touched by their voice, their lyrics, their inspiration... nothing..not to talk about live performance...
they are still played in the bars, but not so much comparing to others, anyway,i lost interest after 1994...

oh my god, now that is late and my mind is more clear, i had the suspicion that i somehow know grandaddy, and i ve checked and I just saw that i have seen them live and i dont even remember that... They have played at Rockwave 2001 , with ash and jj72(i remembered them) before PJ Harvey and Placebo, and now I realised it was them who left the stage early enough, because people through a bottle on the guitarists head,... :? i hope they wouldn take it personally, we were just waiting for PJ...
Apart from that i dont remember anything else...not even how they looked like... :!:
