On the subject of embarassing knicker incidents, my Mum tells a story from the 1940s when she had arrived at Crewe station and was running for her train. Suddenly and without warning her knicker elastic went and down came her knickers. Rather like Jan H's Mum, she just stepped out of them and carried on, head held high and desperately avoiding eyecontact!

When I was 15 I went to stay with my cousins in Brompton, we went swimming so I had to borrow my auntie's suit. I did a spectacular dive in, got out to go for another dive feeling rather impressed with myself until I noticed all my male cousins and Uncle laughing, then one of them pointed to my chest where one of my boobs was completely hanging out.

Perhaps you put your Hawley cd in a Backstreet Boys case to avoid any embarrassment if you had visitors?

Have you tried drawing up a list of everywhere it isn't and looking elsewhere? Mind you, if it's not elsewhere either it must be on the original list.....so you could always try looking there first?

Could it be in a CD case underneath another CD? Or in a different CD player? (trying to be helpful .....)

Instead of going through the CD section, try looking amongst the DVDs or your DVD player. I say this, because I found my copy of "The Bends" in my DVD case for "Ghost in the Shell" the other day. God know how. I must have be tired.

I found an ELO album behind the fridge - I think it had been there since 1978.
