The more i hear this story on the news this week the more it just winds me up. On what planet can anybody who makes any kind of decision about this sort of thing, think releasing him is a good idea? I can think of 270 people a million times more deserving of some 'compassion'. If it's some kind of guilt trip because somebody thinks he *might* be innocent, then prove it, and quash his conviction properly. Undoubtedly he wasn't the only person involved, but just because the others might have thus far gotten off scott free that's no excuse for going soft on a cold blooded killer.

Unbelievable he has been set free, those innocent people suffered really violent deaths, the families must be so angry.

This should not be an issue. All premeditated, cold blooded killers should be executed when proven guilty.
This would be a real deterrent to others, reduce serious crime and free up prisons. This soft, liberally minded society we found ourselves in today does not work for anyone except for soft, liberally minded people. Hard lessons need to be faced. There are evil people in the world who are capitalising on feeble punishments and even hiding behind "Human Rights". Time to get real I reckon and protect decent people.

That Scottish Justice Secretary is saying he followed 'due process', and that he thought the convicted murderer should be 'allowed home to die', and we are people who possess humanity.

I'm sorry, but where was the humanity and compassion shown by the bomber, or bombers? I view myself as a person who lives by a strong moral code, be it Christian or otherwise, but I am disgusted at this decision to release a man responsible for the deaths of so many.

I see this morning that he allegedly arrived home to a "hero's welcome". Obviously this action has fueled even more hatred against the West that would not have been obvious or happend if this man had died in prison.

Absolutely. All part of some politicking deal to allegedly keep us 'safe' - we're aligning ourselves with the terrorists who are out to get us now! What next.

It's unbelievable that our politicians have let him go. People that live in the crash area and the emergency services won't forget the horror. Worst of all they will be haunted with what they seen for the rest of their lives.
