I remember years ago 87/88?? We were going down to Hillsborough to play Everton in an FA cup tie. To quote Billy Bragg.. " We got stopped by the police at the county line" (S. Yorks) and they took about 20 cases of beer off the coach, now times this by about 20 coaches and thats a hell of a lot of booze. God knows what happend to it? Not only that once we got to Sheffield we were hearded to the ground like cattle, shit on and trampled by horses, and after the game battoned and bullied back to the coaches. Their was no trouble between any set of fans. It was the same all over mostly in them days, except Norwich they were ok.
