There's a very real danger the BBC will get far too watch with mother for while, but then it might be good in a way, if it drives rebellion and creativity against that.

What i really want to know is, how many of the 30,000 people who complained about all this though would ever have or do ever listen to Brand and/or Ross?

The upshot of this whole thing is we got Richard Allinson filling in for Ross's excellent Saturday morning show on Radio 2. Allinson is the most bland unfunny presenter I can think of, a throwback to DLT et al and only a notch up from a hospital radio broadcast. AT least it made me get out to do the shopping.

Hey - I did Hospital Radio for many years and was much more bland and unfunny than that Allinson upstart - did he play any REO Speedwagon?

Devil's Arse 5th December - it's started already - with a bit of music thrown in! :*:

Seems the BBC has one rule for one and another rule for others, i can't stand this man and i'm sick of his endless plugging of his purile shite records, he makes my skin crawl. I wish the Daleks would exterminate him and poop on his ashes.
