It's a massive mystery to me why Raymond Douglas is so underrated in the annals of British music. The Kinks are such a good band and so overran by The Beatles and The Stones it's just dumbfounding, in my humblest of opinions The Stones are not in the same league to put it mildly.

But that interview maybe explains what's up - he's not a media whore. Davies is notoriously polite and avoids drama (but usually suffers fools less gladly). Thankfully, he rose above Lamb's infantile sub-Partridgesque ramblings. I can only imagine he didn't know who Lamb was beforehand.

That George Lamb has always been a bit of a cultural turd chewed twice then spat out. I once saw him on TV with Lily Allen and that was enough to convince me he knows fuck all about anything really. Yet another mockney pisspot with no sense of place in the world. And he needs his posse on air to laugh at his back breakingly awful attempts at zany humour.

I thought it was significant in that piece that Lamb after accusing Davies of having no sense of humour exposes his own lack of good nature with his rather personal and bitter outbursts on Davies' character. Face it, Lamb, you lost face and everybody heard that, fucking tool!
